Nexenta Continues to Lead Open Source Collaboration via Software-Defined Storage Technology Innovation at OpenZFS Developer Summit 2015

Nexenta to Share Enterprise Success Stories and Tech Best Practices;
OpenZFS an Integral Part in SDS Solutions by Leading Enterprises

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Oct. 15, 2015Nexenta (@Nexenta), the global leader in Open Source-driven Software-Defined Storage (OpenSDS), today announced three company executives will present four sessions on a range of technical topics at the third annual OpenZFS Developer Summit in San Francisco on Oct. 19-20. Since the Summit’s inception, Nexenta continues as a lead platinum sponsor.

OpenZFS is derived from the ZFS file system originally developed by Sun Microsystems for the Solaris operating system. Today, 26 technology companies, including Nexenta, have developed products based on OpenZFS.

The first day of the Summit will feature presentations from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. PST. At 9:45 a.m., Nexenta Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Tarkan Maner, will follow the keynote to present a session on OpenZFS success stories. At 3:00 p.m., Nexenta OpenZFS Developer, Saso Kiselkov, will give back-to-back talks on Persistent L2ARC and Dedup Ceiling. At 4:00 p.m. Nexenta Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer, Alex Aizman, will discuss Writeback Cache.

The second day features the OpenZFS (#openzfs) 2015 Hackathon for the collaboration among developers using different platforms under the OpenZFS umbrella, including illumos, Linux, FreeBSD and OS X platforms.
