About OpenStack and Nexenta’s Support for OpenStack

OpenStack® is the most widely deployed open source software for building clouds. Companies use OpenStack to control large pools of compute, storage, and networking resources throughout a datacenter, all managed through a dashboard that gives administrators control while empowering their users to provision resources through a web interface. OpenStack has support for both Object Storage and Block Storage, with many deployment options for each depending on the use case.

Nexenta is an active participant and contributor to OpenStack efforts, helping to promote the standard. The company not only participates in the vibrant software development community via the Nexenta Community, but also contributes through multi-OS support (e.g., Illumos, BSD, LINUX, OSX, etc.), and along with other major brands, through open-zfs.org efforts.
