SANTA CLARA, California – November 26, 2013 - Nexenta (@Nexenta), the global leader of Software-Defined Storage (SDS) (#softwaredefinedstorage) solutions, today announced that Tarkan Maner, Nexenta CEO, will host an executive round table, as well as join a panel discussion, at the Enterprise 451 Storage Executive Summit in New York City on December 2, 2013 at the JW Marriott Essex House.

Mr. Maner will host a round table on ‘The Drive for Better Storage Economics’ from 9:50 – 10:30am on the 2nd floor in the Tivoli West Room, discussing why the current storage model is unsustainable based on escalating costs, flat IT budgets and data center limitations. Maner will show organizations how to dramatically reduce their storage spend while simultaneously gaining a highly scalable, feature rich storage platform.
Mr. Maner will also be joining a panel discussion from 5:05 – 5:45pm in the Petit Salon. The focus of the panel will be on “Leading Disruptive Trends in Storage and Success Stories from Enterprise End-Users .” Other panelists include Sara O'Neill, Global Head of Distributed and Mainframe Storage, BNY Mellon (@bnymellon), Darrell Westbury, Regional Director of Storage Operations, Credit Suisse (@creditsuisse) and Doug Soltesz, VP and CIO of Budd Van Lines (@BuddVanLines).
“Software-Defined Storage is on the minds of IT leaders.” states Tarkan Maner, CEO Nexenta, “SDS can reduce storage spend as well as deliver tangible, quantified business benefit as an alternative to the current approach in the face of data center optimization and consolidation. ”
"Software-defined storage is still an emerging term in the industry, but we believe it has the potential to make a significant impact on enterprise storage infrastructure through its ability to enable high-value software to run on commodity hardware,” states Simon Robinson, Research VP - Storage of The451Group, “This has been Nexenta's model from day 1, and as a visionary in the space, I look forward to them participating in the discussion at our summit.”
