Santa Clara, Calif.—April 9, 2015—Nexenta (@Nexenta), the global leader in Open Source-driven Software-Defined Storage (OpenSDS), today announced that Michael Letschin, Director of Product Management and Marketing Solutions, will be speaking at SNIA’s Data Storage Innovation (DSI) Conference in Santa Clara today, April 9th at 10:40am PDT.
Letschin will participate in the Software-Defined Storage track to present his session titled “Deploying VDI with Software-Defined Storage and Hyper-convergence.” Letschin will discuss how VDI deployments have typically been built with traditional storage arrays and isolated compute solutions, and the alternative solutions available today. Attendees will also learn how to deploy VDI in a hyper-converged implementation, how to expand storage for VDI outside of existing infrastructures and into the data center.
“I’m looking forward to sharing information about Nexenta’s Software-Defined Storage (SDS) options and where the technology and markets are heading,” said Letschin. My goal is to help companies take advantage of SDS options that are ideally suited to their specific needs.”
SNIA’s DSI conference attracts decision-makers, technology implementers and those expected to recognize, influence and support data storage innovation as actual production solutions. The conference offers a broad range of topics including Big Data Infrastructure, Cloud Storage, Data and Storage Management, Data Security and Identity Management, Distributed Storage, Free/Open Source Software, green and Energy Efficient IT, Object Storage, Storage Security and more.
