Nexenta Systems, Inc. is looking for a proactive and dedicated Inside Sales Representative to join our Sales team to support our BeNeLux and Nordic regions.  An ideal candidate has relevant work experience that would allow him/her to thrive in a fast-paced demanding culture.  Main job duties include lead generation, cold calling and sales.  This position requires an aggressive and enthusiastic phone personality who can articulate Nexenta’s value proposition to executive level decision-makers across all industries. Qualified candidate also needs to be able to work in a team environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Understand Nexenta’s product strengths, functionality, positioning, competition and apply that understanding to a prospect’s specific business needs and pain points
  • Understand our product and service offerings
  • Generate qualified sales opportunities for the field sales organization through cold calling and qualification of inbound leads
  • Meet quota of qualified sales leads as well as closed deals as a result of those leads
  • Meet quota of minimum calls and emails per day
  • Identify and/or contact prospects in relation to special targeted sales campaigns
  • Timely follow-up with incoming leads, and accurate qualification of prospects
  • Send appropriate product information and track progress of all leads within assigned territory
  • Daily outbound calling to prospects on target account lists and ability to close deals over the phone
  • Assign qualified prospects to the appropriate direct sales/partner representative based on territory
  • Contact potential customers and up sell opportunities from contacts/customers identified as a result of partner relationships
  • Research assigned territories for target accounts and senior contacts

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Experience:

  • Must have prior Storage experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of previous software industry sales experience.
  • Personal attributes including: positive outlook, self-motivated, good attention to detail, and strong follow through on assigned tasks.

Skills:

  • Enthusiasm, discipline and good communication skills are the most essential requirements
  • Three to five years successful experience in an outbound sales environment is desired
  • Great verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and follow-up skills, including consistent use of our CRM to record and track activity
  • Experience calling on senior executives, all levels business and technal at all sizes of organizations
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work independently
  • Ability to research and think creatively to uncover new account leads
  • Solid computer skills including proficiency in use of SalesForce.com, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
